A collaboration between two artists, a dialogue in text and image.
Small Pieces pairs twenty-five of Marcom’s short stories—prose miniatures as she calls them—with Fowzia Karimi's watercolor illuminations. Begun over a decade ago, the book is a conversation between two artists in text and image, side by side.
Fowzia Karimi has a background in Visual Arts and Biology. Her work explores the correspondence on the page between the written and the visual arts. She is the author of the novel Above Us the Milky Way.
